Moon-Moo 61 Movements

MOON-MOO honours the 30th king of the Silla Dynasty. His body was buried near Dae Wang Am (Great King's Rock). According to his will, the body was placed in the sea "Where my soul shall forever defend my land against the Japanese." It is said that the Sok Gul Am (Stone cave) was built to guard his tomb. The Sok Gul Am is a fine example of the culture of the Silla Dynasty. The 61 movements in this pattern symbolise the last two figures of 661 AD when Moon Moo came to the throne.

START: Parallel ready stance at X facing D
Perform 1 in a slow motion.
1Turn the face to B while forming a right bending ready stance 'A' toward B.
Perform 2 in a slow motion, and perform 2 and 3 in a double kick.
2Execute a high side piercing kick to B with the left foot.
3Execute a high side piercing kick to B again with the left foot.
4Lower the left foot to B to form a sitting stance toward D while executing middle thrust to D with the right flat fingertip.
Perform 5 in a slow motion.
5Execute a high reverse hooking kick to B with the right foot.
6Lower the right foot to B in a jumping motion to form a right X-stance toward C while executing a middle side strike to B with a right knifehand..
7Move the left foot to A, forming a left walking stance toward A while executing a pressing block to A with the right palm.
8Move the right foot to A to form a right walking stance toward A at the same time executing a pressing block with the left palm.
Perform 9 in a slow motion.
9Execute a high side block to B with the left knifehand and a low side block to A with the right knifehand while forming a right one-leg stance toward D, pulling the left reverse footsword to the right knee joint.
Perform 10 in a slow motion.
10Lower the left foot to the right foot, and then turn to face A while forming a left bending ready stance 'A' toward A.
Perform 11 in a slow motion, and perform 11 and 12 in a double kick.
11Execute a high side piercing kick to A with the right foot.
12Execute a high side piercing kick to A again with the right foot.
13Lower the right foot A, forming a sitting stance toward D while executing a middle thrust to D with the left flat fingertip.
Perform 14 in a slow motion.
14Execute a high reverse hooking kick to A with the left foot.
15Lower the left foot to A in a jumping motion to form a left X-stance toward C, at the same time executing a middle side strike to A with the left knifehand.
16Move the right foot to B, forming a right walking stance toward B while executing a pressing block with the left palm.

Perform 18 in a slow motion.
18Execute a high side block to A with the right knifehand and a low side block to B with the left knifehand while forming a left one-leg stance toward D, pulling the right reverse footsword to the left knee joint.
19Turn and face towards C while forming a left bending ready stance 'B' toward D.
Perform 20 in a slow motion.
20Execute a high back piercing kick to C with the right foot.
21Lower the right foot to C to form a left walking stance toward D while executing a middle punch to D with the right fist.
22Turn and face toward C, while forming a right bending ready stance 'B' toward D.
Perform 23 in a slow motion.
23Execute a high back piercing kick to C with the left foot.
24Lower the left foot to C, forming a right walking stance toward D while executing a middle punch to D with the left fist.
25Slide to C, forming a right rear foot stance toward D while executing a downward block with the left palm.
26Execute a middle side front snap kick to D with the left foot, keeping the position of the hands as they were in 25.
27Lower the left foot D, and then move the right foot to C in a stamping motion to form a sitting stance toward A while executing a middle side strike to C with the right sidefist.
Perform 28 and 29 in a connecting motion.
28Slide to C, maintaining a sitting stance toward A while executing a scooping block with the left palm.
29Execute a middle punch to A with the right fist while maintaining a sitting stance toward A.
30Execute a low side block to D with the left knifehand while maintaining a sitting stance toward A.
31Move the left foot just beyond the right foot in a quick motion while executing a middle side pushing kick to C with the right foot.
32Lower the right foot to C, and then execute a high reverse turning kick to C with the left foot.
33Lower the left foot to C to form a left walking stance toward C while executing a high side block to C with the left knifehand.
34Slide to D to form a left rear foot stance toward C at the same time executing a downward block with the right palm.
35Execute a middle side front snap kick to C with the right foot, keeping the position of the hands as they were in 34.
36Lower the right foot to C and then move the left foot to D in a stamping motion forming a sitting stance toward A while executing a middle side strike to D with the left sidefist.
Perform 37 and 38 in a connecting motion.
37Slide to D, maintaining a sitting stance toward A while executing a scooping block with the right palm.
38Execute a middle punch to A with the left fist while maintaining a sitting stance toward A.
39Execute a low side block to C with the right knifehnd while maintaining a sitting stance toward A.
40Move the right foot just beyond the left foot in a quick motion while executing a middle side pushing kick to D with the left foot.
41Lower the left foot D, and then execute a high reverse turning kick to D with the right foot.
42Lower the right foot to D, forming a right walking stance toward D while executing a high side block to D with the right knifehand.
43Move the left foot to D, and then execute a high twisting kick to AD with the right foot.
44Lower the right foot to C, forming a left walking stance toward D while executing a side back strike to C with the right backfist and extending the left fist to D.
45Execute a front strike to D with the right backfist while shifting to C maintaining a left walking stance toward D.
46Move the right foot to D, and then execute a high twisting kick to BD with the left foot.
47Lower the left foot to C to form a right walking stance toward D while executing a side back strike to C with the left backfist and extending the right fist to D.
48Execute a front strike to D with the left backfist while shifting to C, maintaining a right walking stance toward D.
49Execute a sweeping kick to D with the left side sole, keeping the position of the hands as they were in 48 and then lower it to D, forming a right L-stance toward D while executing a middle guarding block to D with the forearm.
Perform 50 in a consecutive kick.
50Execute a side checking kick to D, and then again a middle side thrusting kick to D with the left foot, forming a forearm guarding block.
51Lower the left foot to D, forming a right L-stance toward D while executing a middle outward strike to D with the left knifehand.
52Execute a sweeping kick to D with the right side sole, and then lower it to D to form a left L-stance toward D while executing a middle guarding block to D with the forearm.
Perform 53 in a consecutive kick.
53Execute a side checking kick to D, and then again a middle side thrusting kick to D with the right foot, keeping the position of the hands as they were in 52.
54Lower the right foot to D to form a left L-stance toward D while executing a middle outward strike to D with the right knifehand.
55Move the right foot to C and then turn counter-clockwise pivoting with the right foot to form a left walking stance toward C while executing a middle punch to C with the right fist.
56Jump to C to form a right X-stance toward AC while executing a low punch to C with the left fist and bringing the right fist to the left shoulder.
57Jump to D, forming a left X-stance toward AD while executing a low punch to D with the right fist ad bringing the left fist on the right shoulder.
58Jump to execute a mid-air kick to D with the right foot while spinning clockwise.
59Land to D to form a left L-stance toward D while executing a middle guarding block to D with a knifehand.
60Move the right foot to the side rear of the left foot, and then the left foot to C to form a right walking stance toward D while executing a rising block with the left arc-hand.
61Execute a high punch to D with the right fist while maintaining a right walking stance toward D.
